The idea

What can a fashion brand look like before its clothes exist physically? GTHREADS explores that question through a visual identity applied to digital garments, project posters and animated content.

My aim was to build a recognisable identity and learn how 2D design could extend into a three-dimensional space.

Building the identity

Streetwear and digital-fashion research informed the direction. Black, grey, white and orange gave the collection a consistent palette with strong contrast. I explored logo forms and garment concepts in Illustrator before applying them across the work.

Testing in three dimensions

Early Blender experiments helped me explore animated typography, but their complexity made garment development difficult within the time available. I moved garment work into CLO3D and returned to Blender for the title animation.

In CLO3D, I worked with patterns, fit, fabric and logo placement using built-in tools and imported assets. The screenshots show how the flat concepts became digital garments.

Putting the system in motion

Rendered images became posters in Photoshop. After Effects and CapCut supported the moving-image work, bringing together garment animation, effects and edited sequences. These outcomes also formed part of the social-media content for my university project.

What I learned

The most useful decision was changing the workflow when my first approach was not giving me the results I wanted. Using different tools for different parts of the project let me develop a more complete identity.

Further development would focus on more refined movement, richer environments and clearer storytelling across the project.
